Designing out the human

So the question that has challenged me this week is – why with an ever growing population are the inventors and global corporations designing out the humans?

We design them out of the need to work but without work we do not have the income to buy the products the companies want us to buy.

We are costing too much through obesity and laziness leading to more health problems that cannot be sustained but we design activity out of the things we do on a daily basis.

Why do I need a car that drives itself? Can I not be bothered?

Why do I need a bike with a motor? Why do something active then take out the action?

Anyone else think this is upside down.
